In February 1994, the taxpayers of Lamesa voted to support a ½ cent sales tax devoted to fostering Economic Development as a 4A sales tax entity. Our five member Board of Directors serve as visionaries, keeping their eye on opportunities that will shape the future of Lamesa and its economy. The Lamesa Economic Development Corporation is aggressively and actively involved in recruiting and incentivizing new industries to make Lamesa their home. In that pursuit, the LEDC will consider a wide range of financial incentives.
