Transportation
Ground
Transportation in and out of Lamesa is a snap. Goods and services flow seamlessly along seven excellent highways pin-wheeling out of Lamesa in every direction, making Lamesa a straight shot to…everywhere.
But the future of ground transportation in Lamesa is even brighter due to Lamesa's placement as the junction of two major highway projects set for completion before the end of this decade. Lamesa will be situated at the curbside of commerce when the Ports to Plains Trade Corridor is completed. This interstate will be the major transport route for goods from Mexico to reach the great Northwest. In addition, the La Entrada al Pacifico will connect the Ports to Plains system to Midland/Odessa with brand new four-lane convenience. These two trade arteries will intersect less than one mile South of town, positioning Lamesa as a prime warehousing and distribution hub.
Air
Lamesa's own airport boasts a 5000 ft. paved runway with fueling station. It's more than ample to accommodate regional commuter traffic and product distribution. But if you need to fly with the big boys there's not one, but two international airports within one hour of Lamesa in Lubbock and Midland.
